Thankyou so much, the Wistaria is in
full bloom right now and is the first thing I see when I open my
bedroom window, it really is a lovely colour. They are such a fast growing climbers that you could still plant one and reap the benifits within just a few years!

Yes they are, especially when they are in full bloom. They climb up,and
their heavy heads make them cascade down again. They are great for covering old trees, and I have several that do just that.

It's one of my favourites too,it's so beautiful, and grows quite happly
in dry conditions, without any special attention. My garden has
both the white and the lilac blooms
and I can't remember having ever
pruned them, or guided them on their way!! A gardeners dream!!

Glad to have been some help in
identifying the climber,it's very common in Europe, and I too have seen it in China, and in Japan.

I bet Georgia O'Keeffe would be proud of this study.

The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun's kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze...x
