When I was last in the orchard, I made a mental note to return to photograph the many wild flowers I happened to see, as it was getting too hot to stay there any longer. On my return visits I made two, I saw some really pretty flowers most of which I didn't recognise and it was fun finding out the names of the different species, but if any are wrongly identified, don't hesitate to let me know.
The Spotted Rock Rose Tuberaria guttata
This is my favourite, so I am sharing more photos
As you can see they are highly variable,...
but all very pretty
Coleostephus myconis.
Clover
The Shell Moth.
The European Umbrella Milkwort plant.
Bee on Limestone Lettuce.
Just look at those pollen covered legs.
Brown bug on Field Marigold. Calendula arvensis
Erodium cicutarium
Yellow Lupin.
I saw another Speckled Wood butterfly.
Once again it had alighted on the stone, at the edges of the orchard.
The Clouded Yellow butterfly was also resting on the stone.
Clumps of this pretty ground cover grow under trees in the orchard.
Dyitalic purpurea fina.
Just one Corn Poppy.
Ripwort Plantain Plantego lanceolate
Do you see the tiny grasshopper?

What an amazing selection of wild flowers you have in your orchard. They are so lovely to see.
It is interesting that southern Europe is experiencing really hot conditions while northern Europe is having a lot of rain this year.
Is your unidentified small flower something like Herb Robert? It is difficult to tell without seeing the leaves.
Dear Marit. If you make a comment, please know that I have tried to comment on your latest post four times, but most photos don't unload so there is nowhere for me to comment, and also the translation doesn't work. I wouldn't want you to think I haven't tried.
Querida amiga que maravillosas fotos y que maravillosas flores, seguro que las visitan miles de preciosos insectos. Besos.
The rock rose is in deed so delightful to see
GORGEOUS! I love the macro shots and you did an excellent job photographing these beautiful flowers and critters. Have a great weekend!
Dear Sonjia :)
Thank you for letting me know about the problems with blogger. I know they have big problems, and I have experienced it myself.
Your photos are always so beautiful. I love the wildflowers in your area. The haresfoot clover are so pretty, and yes I can see the tiny grasshopper :)
The butterflies are so lovely too.
I hope you will be able to visit my blog again my dear friend!
All the best to you!
Warm hugs!
Marit
What a beautiful series of photos with the different flowers.
The flower that you indicated that you did not know, I unfortunately do not know either.
I enjoyed your photos and wish you a nice weekend.
Greetings Irma
Your orchard is your own little wildlife preserve, Sonjia, and you have a wonderful keen eye for detecting the beauties that are all around you. Part of the fun of being a naturalist is the search to identify all that we see, and in the process we learn so much. Your pictures show the important relationship between wildflowers and pollinators. Hopefully more people will realize the vital connection and do more to protect fragile ecosystems. Blogger seems to have one issue after another and there seems to be no pattern to it all. We have to try to navigate the maze as best we can. Hugs and kisses - David

Flowers are so beautiful.
If only I could take a walk with you through the orchard that holds all of nature in it's grasp. What a beautiful place to dream and relax. The lushness of wildflowers reminds me of when my Mom would take us children out into the desert in springtime to see the beautiful rush of blooms after the rains. What a beautiful memory for me.
Most of these are new to me but all are incredibly lovely. Your meadow has some wonderful gifts to offer you -- and thank you for sharing them with us!
That bee is loaded with pollen! You did great with your IDs...me? Not so much! lol Hugs!
It's so wonderful to have you back, Sonjia!

the flowers are so pretty and what a nice variety of color. it's so nice to see insects enjoying the flowers, you have captured them with such crisp clarity!! i favor those purple ones of course, but the yellow ones scream summer and one must always have some yellow in the garden. the spotted rock rose is gorgeous, i'm glad you went back...
your iphone should identify pictures for you without an app. message me if you have any questions!!
