Thank you for sharing your great photos. I love to watch for birds and butterflies here and the flowers and trees are really starting to blossom!
It looks like we will be carrying our umbrellas with all these April showers.
All lovely captures, and the pup wins for most adorable photo!
your photos never cease to amaze me, so sharp and clear and beautiful... Sweet Pintas and i think your little creature that was scared down the road, is a Vole, at firt i thought Mole but changed my mind. try searching for Vole and Mole pics.
the birds are so gorgeous as is the green veined white. flowers are brilliant. hope your rain stops soon, the weather here in USA has been crazy all year and last year, seems the world weather is crazy.
I hope that with these lovely memories you will quickly bring spring back. :)
The weather in Europe really seems to have gone awry. There have been so many posts of unusual weather of one kind or another - and often causing serious headaches. I hope your rain stops soon. I can only imagine what it must be like for tourists who have looked forward to a vacation in sunny Portugal arriving to these kinds of conditions.
Great photos. Have a nice evening.
I love your photos. Fantastic. Greetings.
Beautiful images Sonia, I love the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Hoopoe, fabulous.
Lovely pictures Sonjia. We had sunshine last week while I was stuck in the office and then rain for the four-day Easter break! It rained again all day today, when I was supposed to be out on site visits, but I have postponed them until Thursday when it is meant to be dry!
I wonder if your little creature is a vole? Possibly a field vole. I think the bank vole is browner.
Hi Sonjia, That's the nice thing about being a photographer is when things are not so good you have lots of good images to look back on.
Take care. Mike.
Well done to remind us of what Spring should be like. It's miserable here too. I have managed to mow my lawns once but since then too wet and cold to do any gardening. I saw a duck on my neighbour's roof yesterday. Is that a sign of Spring or simply rising water levels?!?
Beautiful series of critters.
The Hoopoe is winner, though.
Have a good week!
Lovely capture from your springs and I really enjoyed your critters. I wonder the toad is a real one? Your photos are such natural and admire the point of views
Birds and butterflies. Two of my favorite critters to watch. Those flowers are beautiful. I'm ready for the rain to stop myself. We've had plenty in recent days. Happy Wednesday!
I love seeing the different woodpeckers that you have. They sure are fun to spot and photograph! Enjoy your week.
Por aquí también llueve bastante. Las fotografías están muy lindas. Besitos.
These photos are absolutely “Breathtaking “Sonja! Your photography is always wonderful...I especially love your Koi pond. So beautiful and it’s so sad that I only have 2 koi’s in my pond! Im hoping my hubby decides to buy some more this year. He’s upset that Hurricane Sandy finished most of the off so not sure what he’s going to do... Enjoy your day!!!!!
Spring is such a beautiful season.
Wonderful pictures, I especially loved those of the butterfly.

All wonderful, beautiful critters! Of course I favored the woodpeckers, and the butterflies but seriously all beautiful images. We have had a lot of rain here too, it seems mother nature just can’t get her act together!
Gorgeous photos! Maybe not so much for the rat! lol
Beautiful photographs! My favorite is the hiding toad. I think the little creature is a Shrew. Hope you have better weather soon.
Great shots! I would like to pet Pintas.
Hugs to Pintas.
Loved your photos.
Lovely spring shots you are well ahead of us. Diane
What wonderful woodpeckers. I like them.
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
...such a diverse collection of critters, enjoy your week.
Hello, what a great critter post. I love your woodpecker. I thought rats had long tails? The Hooepoe is awesome, I wish you could send me one of them. Pretty butterflies and blooms. Great shots of the fish, lizard and toad. Love the sweet dog. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Thanks for the comment too. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

Always nice to see your photographs ...
Great selection here, thank you.
All the best Jan
Despite the rain you have some fine shots there Sonjia. It's wonderful to see a Lesser-spotted Woodpecker. they are now quite rare in the UK and up here in North West England, almost non-existent. Sorry to hear about your weather - it sounds so similar to our own which is still wet and cool. Maybe we'll have a fine May? Hope so as we are in Menorca first two weeks.
As always, your posts are a treasure trove of beauty and nature! I continue to stop by and enjoy them all. And, thanks so much for joining us with your series of photos at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Also, I have been sharing some of the fun on the cruise at my personal blog hootin' anni's.

A post filled with cute and pretty critters! I could enjoy watching the fishes in the pond for hours!
Such diversity of wildlife ... that toad is certainly green compared to the toads I normally see!
WOw! Great images! Thanks for sharing!

You take amazing photos of nature...of all varieties. I need to learn to get more close ups. I finally got a positive ID on my mystery flower if you have a chance to stop by again! Hugs, Diane
Thanks!...I'm happy to know you're enjoying the cruise ship/activities with me! Have a blessed day
