NickMorgan Thank you Nick!:) The all important light has been missing here also,it's raining buckets,:::hail too. These photos where taken in November last year, but the finches come to the garden every day.
Chris Rohrer Thank you Chris!:)Sometimes it's genuinely difficult to tell if they are green or yellow. It depends on the light I guess, but green or yellow they are still a joy to see.
M Hi Monica!:) In the first photo he looks like he's posing for the photograph but he didn't see me at all. I was in my hide. It's very bad weather here at the moment, no chance of taking any photos:( Cheers.
Spring seems very far away at the moment with all the storms we have been having. I wish the rain would stop so I can get outside. Kisses right back to you.
A pleasant harmony of golden colors .... I hope that January is mild and bright, in your garden, as it seems in these beautiful pictures! Difficult for a painter ,here where I live now a lot of days are grey , with rain and fog! Kisses and hugs, Rita.
This is really a gorgeous series, Sonjia. The colors are fantastic too. All the birds here are gone. It is too warm for the winter. The birdfood is untouched in my garden. Too bad. Have a great weekend. Greetings from the Netherlands, Joke
Rita Vaselli These photos were taken in Oct last year when we had sunny weather. Unfortunately our weather has been like yours, not too cold, but rainy and grey, but the worst for me is the rain which never stops.I haven't taken any photos since November, but have many saved posts for my blog. I hope your weather improves soon Rita dear. Hugs and Kisses
Thank you Joke!:) Sorry to hear about the lack of birds at your feeders.I hope this does not mean you will have a harsh winter when it finally arrives.
Sonia Aguiar Thank you so much. I know that we are moved by colour. I was really pleased with the warm colours in this photo, and the vivid yellow/green of the Greenfinch. Warm Hugs.
Karmnik54 I like them too, at least I like to see them, and admire their lovely colour, but hey bully the other birds though, and are very greedy at the feeders.

Hi Sonjia!
Rather curious that its name does not match its colours, what in the end doesn´t do any harm to its looks...
Here we call it "a verdelhão", I think.
Lovely photos.
Have a good weekend.
