These are the photos I took this week. It was supposed to be fine weather, and after weeks of rain I was looking forward to some brighter days, but although we did have some sunny spells, it rained most of the time and the grey skies were not favourable for taking photographs. Will's under parts add a touch of colour to these gloomy days, and also my garden flowers so I include some here, unfortunately many have wilted with all the rain, but it's a nice reminder that it won't be long before spring is here.
I will be linking up to "Wild Bird Wednesday" and "Saturday's Critters"Click on the icon on the right sidebar to get there, where you will see many different creatures from around the globe.

The flowers are gorgeous. The insects will surely enjoy them too.
I can see the jays are happy and beautiful and the bees look like they are full of joy. the storm is beautiful as long as I am not there... not a fan of storms these days. beautiful photos
Querida Sonjia me alegra ver que Will sigue feliz en tu jardín.
A pesar de los días grises y la lluvia tus plantas se ven hermosas y mas si están en compañía de mariposas. Preciosas fotos.
Besos y abrazos.
Espero que sigas mejorando. Besos.
Lovely pictures..Your Jays have a lot less blue in them than ours..The red flower with the cream colored center is gorgeous...Enjoy the rest of your week..
The flowers are beautiful. The rain is good for the flora.
I wish you a very nice evening
Dear Sonja :)
You have taken great pictures of all the birds. The Eurasian Jay is so beautiful. I hardly see it here anymore. It is good to see the butterfly and all the flowers in your garden. It is spring at your place, but here it has snowed again. I really miss spring.
All the best to you dear friend!
Many warm hugs!
Marit
Another post loaded with wonderful beauty -- your birds are fantastic, so well detailed. And of course, very different from those we see here. So, too, are your blooms. l love them all!
It is certainly looking quite spring-like already there. It seems the weather all over the world is not very normal at the moment. Great thatbyou have been seeing butterflies, too!
That blue jay with the peanut in its beak is just so cute! I thought spring has arrived, but yesterday winter has returned and I guess the whole week will stay cold.
Love woodpecker as usual. The flowers are very nice
Dear Sonja,
This is a beautiful series of photos.
I really like the jay and the flowers, spring is here.
I wish you a nice weekend.
Greetings Irma
Good morning, Sonjia. We need rain, of course, but these days we seldom seem to get those days of gentle, misty rain that’s a pleasure to walk in, soaks into the ground and does so much good. It’s deluge or nothing, or so it seems; floods or droughts. I am very happy to see the pictures of Will. What a handsome fellow he is. I am quite sure that if you were a lady woodpecker you’d be eloping with him! The pollinators going about their business is cause for great rejoicing - therein lies the future of the world. Have a great day and be sure to deliver greetings from Canada to all my friends. Hugs and kisses - David
I have spent time every day recently photographing Downy Woodpeckers. Love woodpeckers and this post, the blooms, the tiny critters and birds. Perfect!

Your photos are always so lovely to look through and enjoy. I had to look up that last bee, as it is so unusual and interesting. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. You are such a joy to have as a blog friend.
Beautiful birds and blooms, your photos are absolutely beautiful. Have a wonderful day.
Lovely photos and storms can provide great photos, like yours, but I prefer a nice easy rain instead.
A splendid post Sonjia. I enjoyed seeing the birds, bees, butterflies and the beautiful flowers. That deep red flower with the yellow center was stunning. I hope you have a wonderful day my friend, and a wonderful weekend!
Hi Sonjia, beautiful and colorful photos of flowers and birds. Your spring is ahead of the one we have here in Sweden. A backlash this week with cold and snow,, Greetings Lasse
Hello Sonjia,
Will is pretty and colorful, a great visitor. I love the Eurasian Jay too, a beautiful bird. Your flowers are gorgeous, I am the bees and butterflies love your garden. Beautiful photos and post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Sonjia, you found wonderful bright spots and beautiful color even on dull days! The Will is a lovely bird hiding secrets that only a good naturalist and photographer like you can discover to share with the rest of us. All the birds and the wonderful bee photos bring smiles as well. Thank you. I'll come back to catch up on all the beauty from your part of the world that I've missed the last few months.
Hello Sonjia,
Beautiful captures and yes for going out in the rain, I love that, too!
Have a great (rest of the?) day!

Love the Jays and all the pretty color in your post. I saw butterflies this week and that was a nice surprise! I love bees too!
...Sonjia, your overcast skies are what we have "enjoyed" for most of our winter, now a few blue sky days. Your jay, and butterflies are right up my alley and of course the flowers are too. Take care and be well.
How nice of Will to visit you even in the rain. Love the pics of the Jay and your flowers, Sonjia.
Has hecho unas fotografías preciosas, se ven muy lindas, por aquí también ha llovido mucho y muchas flores se han estropeado. Que tengas una linda semana querida amiga.
Great shots! Those Eurasian jays are stunning!
Dear Sonjia, the sky really didn't look very inviting where you are. If it's any consolation, it's been rainy here for days and so cold that we even had a few snowflakes today. But spring will not be stopped - neither in Austria nor in Portugal 😊. (After all, we NEEDED rain, it was such a dry winter.) How good that you were able to bring color into your life with birds and flowers - and how lovely of you to share it with us. Will really is a magnificent boy - and I understand very well what you wrote to me - that you would be devastated if Will lost his home. We are worried about our loved ones - humans and animals! And plants too! Yours has been blooming beautifully and I hope the flowers recover (at least partially) from the rain. The Blue Jay and all the bees and butterflies are also a pleasant sight. I hope that we will see more of them here soon, too. (I've already seen three butterflies on the few warmer days at the beginning of last week, but I knew it wouldn't stay this nice...)
Love and all the best, Traude
Some beautiful photographs here, I enjoyed them.
Thank you.
All the best Jan

Your photos are lovely despite the gloomy weather! The vibrant colors of Will’s underparts and your garden flowers really brighten up the mood. It’s a shame about the rain, but spring is just around the corner—hopefully, there will be plenty of sunny days ahead for more photography!
Spring has sprung!
Have a lovely Spring.
All the best Jan
Hello Sonjia! Pretty birds and flowers with their little visitors. I do hope the rains stop soon.
