EURASIAN JAYS, WILL, BUTTERFLYS, AND BEES.

These are the photos I took this week. It was supposed to be fine weather, and after weeks of rain I was looking forward to some brighter days, but although we did have some sunny spells, it rained most of the time and the grey skies were not favourable for taking photographs. Will's under parts add a touch of colour to these gloomy days, and also my garden flowers  so I include some here, unfortunately many have wilted with all the rain, but it's a nice reminder that it won't be long before spring is here.

I will be linking up to "Wild Bird Wednesday" and "Saturday's Critters"Click on the icon on the right sidebar to get there, where you will see many different creatures from around the globe.

Querida Sonjia me alegra ver que Will sigue feliz en tu jardín.
A pesar de los días grises y la lluvia tus plantas se ven hermosas y mas si están en compañía de mariposas. Preciosas fotos.
Besos y abrazos.

Dear Sonja :)
You have taken great pictures of all the birds. The Eurasian Jay is so beautiful. I hardly see it here anymore. It is good to see the butterfly and all the flowers in your garden. It is spring at your place, but here it has snowed again. I really miss spring.

All the best to you dear friend!
Many warm hugs!
Marit

Another post loaded with wonderful beauty -- your birds are fantastic, so well detailed. And of course, very different from those we see here. So, too, are your blooms. l love them all!

It is certainly looking quite spring-like already there. It seems the weather all over the world is not very normal at the moment. Great thatbyou have been seeing butterflies, too!

That blue jay with the peanut in its beak is just so cute! I thought spring has arrived, but yesterday winter has returned and I guess the whole week will stay cold.

Good morning, Sonjia. We need rain, of course, but these days we seldom seem to get those days of gentle, misty rain that’s a pleasure to walk in, soaks into the ground and does so much good. It’s deluge or nothing, or so it seems; floods or droughts. I am very happy to see the pictures of Will. What a handsome fellow he is. I am quite sure that if you were a lady woodpecker you’d be eloping with him! The pollinators going about their business is cause for great rejoicing - therein lies the future of the world. Have a great day and be sure to deliver greetings from Canada to all my friends. Hugs and kisses - David

Lovely photos and storms can provide great photos, like yours, but I prefer a nice easy rain instead.

Sonjia, you found wonderful bright spots and beautiful color even on dull days! The Will is a lovely bird hiding secrets that only a good naturalist and photographer like you can discover to share with the rest of us. All the birds and the wonderful bee photos bring smiles as well. Thank you. I'll come back to catch up on all the beauty from your part of the world that I've missed the last few months.

...Sonjia, your overcast skies are what we have "enjoyed" for most of our winter, now a few blue sky days. Your jay, and butterflies are right up my alley and of course the flowers are too. Take care and be well.

Dear Sonjia, the sky really didn't look very inviting where you are. If it's any consolation, it's been rainy here for days and so cold that we even had a few snowflakes today. But spring will not be stopped - neither in Austria nor in Portugal 😊. (After all, we NEEDED rain, it was such a dry winter.) How good that you were able to bring color into your life with birds and flowers - and how lovely of you to share it with us. Will really is a magnificent boy - and I understand very well what you wrote to me - that you would be devastated if Will lost his home. We are worried about our loved ones - humans and animals! And plants too! Yours has been blooming beautifully and I hope the flowers recover (at least partially) from the rain. The Blue Jay and all the bees and butterflies are also a pleasant sight. I hope that we will see more of them here soon, too. (I've already seen three butterflies on the few warmer days at the beginning of last week, but I knew it wouldn't stay this nice...)
Love and all the best, Traude

Your photos are lovely despite the gloomy weather! The vibrant colors of Will’s underparts and your garden flowers really brighten up the mood. It’s a shame about the rain, but spring is just around the corner—hopefully, there will be plenty of sunny days ahead for more photography!
