CREATURES AND FLOWERS I SEE IN MY GARDEN.

Most of these photos were taken in early April, before my accident.Sharing the lovely Greenfinch, a more recent capture. They have returned again, and visit my balcony for the sunflower seeds I put out for them.

A Camellia in the garden.

A Jay in the garden.

A Blue tit on the Balcony.

Just arriving on my balcony.

Another Squirrel, but it's not the same as in the above image.

Now that the leaves are on the trees, the Jays are more difficult to see..

I was pleased to see a Blackbird ,a shy bird I hardly ever see.

However a Blackbird has started to visit my balcony every day now,

but as soon as he sees me he flies away-

French lavender in my garden

Wood Pigeon.

Probably a female Stag beetle.

Green Cricket.

Garden Lizard.

Another.

Large Ocellated Lizard,...not as pretty as the yellowish one in an earlier post.

Shield bug.

Banded Garden Spider.

Acer tree in the garden

Pretty white Easter flowers in bud, and in full bloom.

A closer shot of the Ocellated Lizard.

What a wonderful garden you have, Sonjia. I would love to be able to join you on your balcony and share so much pleasure. I expect that the Blackbird will become a little more confiding as he comes to know that you are no threat. In fact you are a source of food and that's almost a sure way to ensure regular visits. When we are able to have close contact with wild creatures it engenders a sense of union with nature like no other. The week is almost over. Enjoy what remains. With my very best wishes - David

Hello Sonjia,
I'm always so surprised to see the same birds that lives in your garden and who lives here too. Your photos are so beautiful!
I enjoy them very much.
In last week I bought two plants of french lavender, and I have never tried them before. I know they will not survive the winter, so they must live in my cellar too during the winther.
It's so nice to see your camellia in bloom. I thought they bloomed earlier in your area?

Hugs, Marit

From the wonderful wildlife you attract, I think that you must have a beautiful garden, Sonjia. It must have been a great comfort to you to be able to enjoy these small visitors while you have been incapacitated with your injury.

I have very much enjoyed all your photos, but my favourites are those of the squirrels, the lizards and that fabulous spider!

I hope that you continue to recover from your injury. Take good care and stay safe - - - Richard

I am so happy that you have captured such beautiful photos from your balcony and around your garden. I have put the watering on in my garden today and it will attract a blackbird or two who will search for worms. I do hope that you are making a full recovery from your fall. We are enjoying wall to wall sunshine today with temperatures reaching 30o. It's BBQ time!

Dear Sonjia,
I am so happy that you are feeling better! Even if everything is not 100% over yet, this is the right way! Your photos are great - so many animal visitors on your balcony and in the garden - just fantastic. I hope that you will soon be completely fit and healthy again - and continue to have such nice visitors with fur or feathers or scales or chitin skin... ;-)!
Happy weekend, all the best and hugs from Austria,
Traude

...beautiful images Sonjia. I was drawn to your camelia, a plant that struggles to grow in my area. A few years ago I bought the hardiest variety that I could fine. It lived through two winters and then our last cold winter killed it. I cut the entire plant to the ground and now I have lust green shoots. Enjoy your weekend.

I started reading your post and thought how interesting that all of the birds are the same species as we get here in our woods. Then you moved onto insects and lizards and the similarities stopped!
Lovely pictures.

Sonjia, what can I say, your garden must be an absolute paradise for wildlife. You get more in your garden than I get around my village. So very glad you are feeling better. Take care.

Hi Sonjia. You clearly have a garden that is attractive to birds and much more. I would definitely like to see those lizards that I would happily swop for extra Blackbirds that we have every day. It seems strange that you find Blackbirds to be so shy. I hope you are almost fully recovered from your fall by now.
