A Robin Erithacus rubecula

A few Photos of a Robin today, perched on a rose wood branch, which by now must be a familiar sight, and will feature prominently on my blog because it's where all the birds perch, on my bedroom balcony. It's the only photo I have taken this week, as I haven't been outdoors, so it's all I can share.

If you have to be confined indoors, Sonjia, I can't think of a finer visitor. It looks like the very essence of good cheer and friendliness and I am sure it brought more than one smile to your face. I hope that you are able to get back outside soon, and will look forward to what you have to share with us. Take good care. David

You are blessed to have a view that shows you a beautiful bird like this one and to be able to show us how wonderful your robins look. They are much different than our Robin and the detail and the feathers is exquisite!

I am wondering if this Rosewood is the kind of Rosewood that they make furniture out of

I am so sorry that you are confined to your bedroom Sonjia. You have told me about your problems and I feel so very sorry for you. All I can say is if you can manage to get some fresh air it will help you.
Lovely pictures of your Robin but in the UK their breasts are more red.

Most people like their balcony to have a wonderful view. I'll bet you put that branch there so as to entice that Robin to stay around longer. Who could blame you? Nice job 👍 of the photos.

I don´t remember seen any last year but I did see one in the snow in early february. Strange if you ask me. Loved your shots.

Your Robin is so cute... the American Robin is very common everywhere we’ve ever been in the the US and I enjoy watching them, especially this time of year , but your English Robin is a prettier bird. You got more than one lovely picture from your window and they are all good ones. They capture the birds “personality”.
