Birds, Blooms, Butterflies and Halloween Cupcakes.

Americo surprised me with these four cupcakes he bought for our tea today.

The spider cupcakes are the ones I have chosen, cos, the one with the bulging eyes looks so cute, and the other has lost an eye.:))

Butterflies sometimes sunbathe on the hosepipe

Fruit hanging over a fence

I have forgotten the name of this bird. Photo taken in the Biological Park.

Pigeon in the garden

This Long-tailed tit must have put it's beak inside a spiders nest. Photo taken through the lounge window.

Wild flowers

Garden flowers, in bloom now.

Also in bloom now in the garden.

i use to make those spider web cupcakes, when the boys were little. nice to have a sweet surprise like that. your butterfly captures are beautiful, all of ours are long gone!!!

ps, new hope, pa. is a very pet friendly place. almost all of the shops have those water bowls for dogs and they are all maintained and fresh. a lot of the shops allow dogs inside!!! enjoy your yummy treat!!!

Personally, I am not one to "celebrate" Halloween, if that is the right word to describe it but the cakes looked nice. Still very mild here but the butterflies have long since gone though I still have some roses blooming. Some of the colours of the flowers in your garden are amazing. So vivid.

I love the butterflies. The cupcakes are cute and I'm not normally a spider fan.

Beautiful images, as always.....I especially like the intense blue sky....looks like summer is still with you! The cup cakes are very creative but I know some people who would run a mile from these spiders!
Have a great week!

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. Lucky you to be able to take photos of butterflies like the ones you showed. I can only see them on holidays! They are also very quick, so deep respect! Groetjes Hetty

Your post is fell of color! Looks wonderful. The cupcakes are really cute. I am not so good in that area:) As always, love the birds you share. But your butterflies are stunners! Hope your week is a good one. Hugs from Tucson!

How appropriate. You have spider cupcakes for a spider and insect aficionado. I do like the swallowtail butterfly picture. It's spot on.

Thanks for your response to my blog post. It was a spoof in some ways as well as making a point about the time and energy spent in the UK in chasing rare birds.

What lovely bright, sunny pictures. Amazing that the butterflies are attracted to the hose pipe like that. Despite frosts the last two mornings I still received reports of Red Admirals being seen here today.

The bird you are unable to identify is in fact a variant of the Common Pigeon, aka Rock Dove, aka Feral Pigeon. This species has been so selectively bred by humans that it comes in dazzling array of forms, with variants raised to accentuate different characteristics, deemed by one or another pigeon fancier to be desirable. That is how we get pouters, fantails etc. I am glad to hear that the salamander boards piqued your interest and that you are going to experiment with some yourself. Next step is sanke boards!

Such a lovely butterfly collection.

Your garden flowers are gorgeous, Sonjia. I don't usually eat cupcakes, but I could be tempted by those! What I am really envious of, however, are your fabulous hosepipe butterflies - any one of those three would cause me great excitement.

I really appreciated your return visit. Thank you for telling me about the pigeon. I don't think I'll be putting any snake boards down!!!
