We separate the very young calves with their mothers, from the rest of the herd until they are big enough to join the others. |
Safe in a quite corner. |
Some of our herd grazing near the water. |
The Saint Antonio Chapel where my son was married, and where my grandchildren were baptised. |
Side view of same chapel. The dogs belong to my daughter-in-law's sister, and this is where they stand guard every day |
We pass the chapel on our evening walk as it is situated right next to our farm. There is a Festa in a clearing there, every St António day on the 13th of June. |

Such beautiful animals. Makes me think of my husband's pet during his childhood, the family milk cow, Goldie. She would let him curl up with her when she was lying down. Beautiful country in which you live.

So much I have missed, growing up in the suburbs! Beautiful images, and thanks for visiting my post.
What lovely cattle. I didn't realize that you had a farm. How fantastic. And what beautiful countryside. So green and warm! My wife and would love to live somewhere warmer and less rainy than Scotland. Southern Spain would be great, but we would miss the greenness. It looks as though you have it just about perfect there!
The mother and calf photos are so very sweet. Lovely farm you have! And views as well!
An idyllic place.............
Hi Sonjia, didn´t know you have a farm, must be wonderful. I like to see the pictures from your places and the little baby calf goes to my heart. So sweet.
Up here the summer is over and autumn soon will start.
