Wow, what a varieties of lives your pond has♡♡♡ My husband and I were SO fascinated by the photos of dragonfly (Anax parthenope) laying eggs and with beautiful reflections☆☆☆ He said that you should be very lucky to have shots like these! I wish I had the environment like that p;)

ps>I remember learning when young that the first arrival of guns in Japan is from your country to Tanegashima. Wondering what kind of country it would be locating far west of Europe having trading relationship during the age of provincial wars (around 15th century). And the sweet "confeito" came from your country then♪ My motive of blogging was to introduce our cultures, HAPPY to have a friend from the country of my first fascination(*^_^*)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Fantastic pictures. I love ponds and have always his one in my garden. You don't get problems with mosquitoes in your pond? One day we would love to move to France or Spain and I thought I would not be able to have a pond there.

Wonderful photos!
You got the female emperor laying her eggs... Well done!!
But a big WOW for the newt, that is one I have never seen. Ours are different.
That pond seems like a gold mine for interesting species, and the presence of the newt is a very good sign of the environment's health.
Congratulations, enjoy your sunday!

Beautiful shot of the green frog. I haven't seen a frog all summer and am quite disappointed. The dragonfly shots are also amazing. Great job on the pics!

Hi Sonjia!

A lovely pond teeming with life, well captured in your great photos.
I still remember the noisy concert given by frogs croaking in the night, when living at my parents`.Such a cacophony...!

Have a nice week

Vitor

I like all the pictures from your pond. It was not easy to see the frog at first so it surprised me in the second picture. Sweet one. We also have frogs in our pond and since last week I´ve got a garden marker.
Best regards
Monica
