Great pictures. I was lucky enough to see both of these species this year in Spain. I didn't manage to get such good pictures though!
nice moth
Wow, Wow; what magnificent pictures of Cardinal Argynnis pandora♡♡♡ They are so BEAUTIFUL with flowers, Sonija Truly breathtaking(^_^)v
And I also LOVE the way you explained about the butterfly. I never knew the word 'buff' has the meaning of light yellow and loved to read the suffusion which really fits for description. Haha, I only knew 'pronounce' in the sense of sound.
Thank you very much for the GORGEOUS pictures and learning.
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

These are such splendid pictures - butterflies are wonderful to watch, and often hard to photograph!

I was dissapointed I thought you had met the Queen. Mind you, the photo's are fit for a queen. Beautiful.
Outstanding butterfly images, the first is my favourite, absolutely superb.
Awesome shots of the butterflies!
Hi Sonjia!
As an exception to the rule, in this case cardinal and queen make a most fitting match...
With a hug
