On his Look-out

The Buzzard   Buteo buteo

Two young buzzards hovered over the fields for a few weeks hunting for prey. They moved away when the corn became too tall for them to see the ground. They always perched on the telegraph poles and wires, which don't make pretty pictures, but it was the only way I could take a few photos.

Wow, brave looking buzzard☆☆☆ It is amazing for me that you can see them close where you live;-) I wish I could see their penetrating (hope the right word) eyes, Sonija.
I hope you are having a wonderful week. It got really hot to be outside(^^;)

Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Het lijkt mij wel heel gevaarlijk bij die hoogspanningsdraden.

That was great, the Buzzard is shy, that one can't make a picture, but you have done it, precious.

Contrasts of different types are present in the images. An unusual way to see the hunting of predator, very effective visual message. Bravo!

Hugs and Kisses,dear Sonija!!!

Hello Breathtaking! Beautiful bird but it is looking rather fierce isn't it? btw thank you for your advice on wearing gloves to cut chillies. my friend taught me to just use a plastic bag hehe... Now I know. Silly me I should have check properly and did the correct thing haha... But it's ok I am quite use to have burning sensation on my fingers. Sometimes ginger gives the same effect but less strong. Happy Thursday! Stephanie

Hi Sonjia!

Bird of prey by nature, but a beautiful and imposing one nonetheless...

Great photos you managed to take!

A hug, and have a nice week-end

I am pleased to say buzzards are now nesting on my local reserve which is going to save me a lot of mileage looking for them.

Your photos are gorgeous,as always !
The wild birds are beautiful, but dangerous for small birds. A few days ago I saw a hawk attacking a pigeon. It was a shocking sight !
Have a nice weekend :)

Nice post - I managed to see some of these birds in the Uk recently - we don't have this species in Australia.

Sorry about the much delayed reply I let the blog sit on the back burner while I was in the UK - normal service will resume soon!
