Sorry fellow bloggers but I don't know the name of this duck. They are two different ducks taken on different days but are the same kind. They are probably farmyard ducks, but I can't be sure.
I will be taking a short break, just for a couple of weeks, so will see you on my return.

I can't help by giving you a name but you photograped them great. Enjoy your break and I hope you will be back soon.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
I don't know the name either, Breathtaking. Great shots. See you on your return. Greetings, Joke
It's beautiful, may be a wild duck, nice plumage.
just beautiful, they are!
i hope your break is a good one! will miss you!
Dear Sonija your photos (with or without name) speak for themselves!!! I wish you a really nice holiday and many beautiful photos! Warm hugs, Rita.
I suspect it may be a domesticated form of mallard duck, such as a call duck or, as you suggested, a farm yard duck. They are lovely pictures, no matter what kind of duck it is.
I'm not sure but it looks domestic! It's a mutt!:) I can't count them on my hikes and they are such beautiful birds. Still very nice shot:)
Yes I go with the farmyard duck theory. Lovely shots - hope you have a nice break, Jerry!
Enjoy your break. The ducks are quite beautiful.
great species of duck
Great shots! Ducks do not worry about staying with their own color so we may be looking at hybrids.
very pretty and nice markinggs!!!!
I assume you must be going to the Algarve. I wish I was coming with you. It's absolutely miserable here. Not even warm enough for ducks but certainly wet enough!
LEN
Hi!!!.. Nice pictures of this lovely duck.. Regards from Spain..
Marijke
Thank you dear! It's a hybrid of some kind, but a very attractive bird.
Bags packed and all ready to go on our Easter break, see you!!
Joke (Jokes Camera)
As you have said before, if it is a thing of beauty, it really doesn't matter what it's called.
See you after our Easter break.
Maria
I agree, I thought it very attractive, even if it's pedigree is questionable.
TexWisGirl
We are off to the coast tonight for our Easter break in the Algarve
it will be a nice change of scene.
I also think this feral hybrid is a beauty.I'm hoping to see other beautiful birds further south, in particular the Bee-eaters.
See you:)

Thank you my dear:) We have been having many rainy days here,so are
going in search of some sun, and hopefully some nice photographic opportunities.

Hello Nick! Nice of you to pass by and leave such a kind comment.
I prefere to know the names of my post subjects, but if after research I still don't know, then I post simply to share some their beauty. I'm so pleased you like the photos:)
Hi Sonjia :-) Yes, I would think some sort of hybrid, rather distinctive though and lovely captures.
I also enjoyed the lovely photos of the butterfly on the previous post which I somehow missed :-(
I hope you enjoy your Easter break, have a rest and have fun! :-)

Hi Chris:)
I'm quite sure your identification is right Chris.Thank you!
With or without pedigree I love them all, and also think these are beautiful birds.
Haven't seen them before, nice photos~
Jerry
Thank you Jerry! We have been having such a lot of rain for March
that we are traveling further south
for our Easter break, in search of some dry and sunny weather.Hope you are getting some decent weather
where you are:)

Enjoy your Sunday,..see you when I get back.
Linda
Thank you Linda:) Yes it's true!
They can be quite promiscuous. adding to identification confusion.
Enjoy your Sunday, see you on our return.
Susan
They are indeed very pretty. It was quite a dull day when I made these shots, and their white feathers looked truely beautiful.
Len
Hello Len:)
You assumed correctly! We have also been having weather for ducks and are in need of some dry sunny weather. We leave tonight to avoid the traffic.
See you on our return.

Just in time to answer your lovely comments which are always so welcome.
A hybrid probably, but distinctive enough to catch my eye, and share his beauty. So glad you liked both posts Jan,.. and you always catch up, if you miss one.
Now I'm closing the lid of the computer, and getting excited about our journey this evening.
Warm hugs, and I'll see you on our return.
