Now that the weather has improved and we are getting warm sunny days, I had been taking photos of wild and cultivated garden flowers and some birds and squirrels, seen on and from my balcony but doing some gardening too. I have however sprained my wrist because of pruning so many bushes, but my knee has suffered the most because of standing long periods of time whilst doing this,so I have had to take things easy, with leg raised and ice packs. I should have known better but I never learn. I had this ready to post, just changed a few sentences.

 Wood Pigeon

Broom

Great-tit

Same as above.

Growing out of the stone wall-

Yellow Woodsorrel

Collared Dove

Blackbird

No ID for this wild plant

Hanging over a wall on the farm

These flowers are all over the slopes

Mexican Daisy

Wild Lily.

Fire Bush with Longhorned Beetle.

Carpenter Bee

The garden smells heavenly with the perfume of these wild flowers. They grow
on a large bush which grows several meters tall. I can't find the ID, but if anyone knows, I would be most grateful if you would let me know.

Groups of these white flowers grow under trees in the garden

Pretty succulent plant growing near the pond

Dear Sonjia,
What a wonderful series of photos this is.
The squirrel is so cute, which is why photos 19, 20, and 21 are also my favorites.
Get well soon with your wrist and your knee.
I wish you a lovely Thursday.
All the best, Irma

Hi, I am so sorry to hear you sprained your wrist. I am pruning bushes and trees to, but pacing myself and only doing one bush at a time, which is about 15 minutes. its taking days but so far I have got pain in my right shoulder. my old body thinks I am crazy..
the last yellow plant is stunning, and I love the daisies and the other yellow flowers. I have a thing for yellow flowers... the squirrel made me laugh and show them to Bob. he/she is so cute.. hope you feel better soon. I am erratic with posting, can't seem to do the old every day thing I used to do...

Dear Sonia. This is Doctor David speaking. Based on this written submission I have reviewed your situation very carefully and I have arrived at a sure cure for strained wrists and aching knees. Pruning shears are to be abandoned without delay. You are to sit in a comfortable chair, legs elevated on a firm pillow if necessary, and the only two activities permitted for your wrist are to raise your wine glass and activate the camera shutter to take more glorious pictures like this. This regimen is non-negotiable! Hugs and Kisses (they are permitted, encouraged even) - David

We never do learn, do we? But all will be well. I hope your hurts ease very soon! As for this post -- well, it's gorgeous. I love that broom plant and the photo of the purple ones that look like they are in a field with the bright green leaves. What a beautiful day that was. But my favorites have to be your very cheeky squirrel -- cute as can be! Have a lovely Easter and I hope you are doing better by the time you read this.

Dear Sonjia,
very beautiful photos - but today: Just a quick note:

I've added two "important announcements" to the beginning of my blog post. One of them concerns the problem with the photos, which is affecting several blogs, presumably because Blogger is "tinkering" with the program again:

"🖥️ If photos aren't displaying correctly, please reload the page – usually, a click on the small round arrow (e.g., 🔄 or ↻) in your browser is enough. Sometimes, a little patience is all it takes 😉"

Regarding my "real" comments, I ask for your patience as well – that's what the second "important announcement" is about...
Happy Easter! 🌸
Hugs & all the best, Traude

Lovely to see all your flowers and bird/animal/insect visitors Sonjia. Your bird-birdfeeder is lovely. So sorry about your sore knee and wrist. I think many of us can claim that we do too much and suffer the consequences. My knee is testament to that fact. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the Easter Wishes. I thought I had commented on this post, but it is evident I didn't. I did read it and went over it again today. It is amazing how many wildflowers you have. It must be so beautiful there and very fragrant. I wish I could say the same with my garden, but it is more demure than your space. All the same, spring has definitely sprung. Love the squirrel stretching for all its might to steal a little birdseed. Have a nourishing and lovely week. Hugs. Yvonne
