SPRING HAS SPRUNG

.Very few birds are visiting the feeder these days, but I'm always on the lookout. One day I was looking through the window when I saw a whitish ball perched far away in a tree. I imediately zoomed in with my camera and when I looked at the photos on my computer realised it was a Wood Pigeon, and here are the photos I took. They are usually very shy birds, and often fly away if I get too near to where they are well hidden in a tree, so I was pleased to get just three photos  I took a few photos in the garden after lunch on the first dry day we had had in ages, although we did have a mini shower which lasted about 5 minutes in the morning.

.

I will be linking up to Saturday's Critters.

Oh my goodness it is Spring! And I am so happy for you. And for me because you shared these amazing pictures. The wood pigeon and the other birds and butterflies are wonderful -- you took terrific pictures as always! But it is the daffodils that really really make me smile! They are my all-time favorites.

Dear Sonja :)
Those are great pictures you show. The one you call Wood Pigeon will be visiting soon, too. Those are beautiful flowers you are showing today. The daffodils are very beautiful. I wish you a nice evening, and a good weekend dear friend.

These photos are gorgeous. Your climate is at least a month ahead of ours. I'm still waiting for daffodils and tulips, but I did see a robin yesterday 🤗

It’s great to see you posting up a storm, Sonjia. As for the Wood Pigeon, it is a very handsome bird, and I saw many of them on a visit to England last October. They have every reason to be wary of humans, having been persecuted throughout history. It is amazing how we categorize certain birds as fiends and villains, instead of recognizing that we all fill our niche and just wish to be left alone. But we don’t want you to leave us alone. We want to hear from you often! Hugs and kisses - David

it certainly looks like spring at your place, Sonjia. It is warm here today but winter may have another blast at us.

Oh, dear Sonjia!
I just saw that you're back—and read that so many of your health problems were caused by the medication! Thank you for sending me a comment today—that's why I visited your blog and now I know... How lucky that your daughter found out the reason—hooray! It's getting late, so I'll say goodnight for now and get back to you tomorrow (or very soon, at least!).
All the best and many hugs, Traude

Me encantan tus fotos primaverales y después de tanta lluvia genial que salga el sol. Besos.

Your bird pictures could have been taken here in our garden. They are all very familiar to me. Your flowers, on the other hand, are much more advanced than ours. And I am very jealous of your butterfly!! We have also had a very grey and wet winter. My dad planted a pink ornamental rhododendron. It flowers in early March, but every year the lovely flowers are killed off by a frost and turn brown! The first of our daffodils have just started flowering!
