KIKA WAS HER NAME

Just one photo today taken on the farm. The dog belonged to my forman and his wife and I made a copy to keep for myself because it gives me a sense of peace just looking at it. It's still pouring down here, with little chance of me getting outdoors.

Dear Sonjia :)
It's a lovely photo. Kika was a very beautiful dog. We had a dog like that for many yeas ago, but he was white. He was a fantastic friendly dog we had for 11 years.
Kika was an unusual name. I like it.
All the best to you, and take care my friend.
Many hugs.
Marit

What a gorgeous dog, Sonjia. I can only imagine that you have very fond memories of her. A friend of mine commented recently, “The more I deal with people, the more I like dogs! “ Hugs and kisses - David

What a gorgeous animal. So majestic and I can see why you wanted a copy of the photo. She does bring a sense of peace. I hope your rain lightens -- some days it's just good to stay inside.

Hello Sonjia,
What a beautiful photo and a sweet dog.
We used to have Goldens, first was our Daisy and then later years it was Goldie Girl. They are the best dogs, easy to train.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.

Hope your weather improves soon, Sonjia - here it cooled down again, sadly, but... let us enjoy the weekend anyways.

Dear Sonjia, thank you for sharing this beautiful picture of Kika, beautifully composed and the lighting is perfect. It was raining here earlier and now the sun is shining. I hope it won't be long before you see sunshine also.

Hello Sonjia,
I am sorry I haven't been in touch for a while. Everything has been so busy over Christmas and with sorting out all of the local butterfly records.
I am so sorry to hear about your accident. I am pleased your leg is healing and I hope that your head is fine now. That must have been such a horrible fright.
I am glad to hear you spent Christmas with the family. Eva is clearly very good at choosing presents for people. We have a similar bird feeder that our son gave us a few years ago. It is great having so many birds coming to visit it.
I remember the amazing Portuguese tiles when we visited on holiday. We loved how some buildings were completely covered in them, while others had individual tiles decorating them.
What a beautiful dog. It reminds me very much of our older dog Midge.
It is still raining here, too, and the ground is still frozen from the cold weather we have had for the last couple of week. I can't wait for it to warm up, but I fear I will be waiting for a long time!

Dear Sonjia -- Kika was a beautiful dog and the picture does impart a sense of calm and peace -- as dogs of her breed tend to do in life. One of our sons had a Golden Retriever whom we all loved. And who loved all of us! ... I hope your weather improves soon.

Kika looks so content with her life. I'm sure she is missed dearly. Sometimes rain keeps us 'trapped', but it is the elixir of life. Soon enough you'll be able to experience all the benefits of it. Wishing you a new year full of healing.

Oh yes, sweet Kika (and the photo as a whole) has a calm, contented aura. You write about Kika in the past tense, so I assume she has already passed away. Then I hope there's a kind of "dog heaven" where all those dogs I considered friends in my life are also, and where they can experience precisely that peace and joy that looking at this picture brings.
All the best again, Traude
