THE EURASIAN JAY Garrulus Glandarius

Hi everyone, I was hesitant to make another post sharing the Eurasian Jay as I have shown so many of these beautiful birds before, but after much deliberation decided that I would share them with you, before all the leaves make it difficult to see them in the trees. A few leaves have already appeared so I hope you don't mind another series of Jay photos.

Dear Sonja :)
It's so nice to see pictures of the Eurasian jay, because I don't see it here anymore. You've taken some great photos of it, and please continue to show pictures of it.

All the best to you, and warm hugs.
Marit

I’m glad you decided to share more photos of the Eurasian Jay! They’re such beautiful birds, and I’m sure everyone enjoys seeing them, especially before the leaves make them harder to spot.

Dear Sonjia,
The pictures of the jay are great, this never gets boring.
They are all perfectly photographed.
I wish you a nice Thursday.
Greetings Irma

Now, Sonjia, you really have to stop posting all these pictures of Eurasian Jays! I am becoming the very incarnation of the Green-eyed Monster. If my eyes get any greener Miriam will be booking me into the clinic. Let’s make a deal. I’ll trade you a few Blue Jays for Eurasian Jays and we’ll both be happy with that arrangement. Since you are such a smart lady, with Eva always ready to help, I will leave it to you to make the logistical arrangements. I am ready to comply at a moment’s notice. Hugs and kisses - David

Ha Ha ! Any time will give me great pleasure. The Blue Jay is a beautiful bird, and one of my favourites, and David my eyes will remain blue. :)

Your Eurasian jay is especially beautiful, and your photos even more so! You either have a marvelous lens, extreme patience, grand luck or some combo of the other (I already know you have a great eye for a photo!)

There can never be too many views of such a pretty bird that looks quite happy and unfluttered to be posing. :)

...The Eurasian Jay has such wonderful coloring. I hope that it isn't as bossy as our jay! Sonjia, I wish you a wonderful weekend, take care and be well.

Hi Sonjia, please share away! The Jay is a stunning bird and it is lovely to see your photos of it. I don't know how you manage to get close enough to photograph them. When I see them they are very nervous and I can get nowhere near. Usually I just hear them calling.
I feel that I publish a lot of very similar posts about butterflies, but part of the reason I post is to keep a record of what I have seen and hope that it will also be interesting for others.
I hope the weather has improved there. We seem to be having very strange weather. We haven't had any rain here for weeks and I have never known such a long period of sunny days. Of course that also means that the ground is really dry and hard and the water in the stream next to our house is very low. A bit of a worry, as it is the water supply for the house!
