Fences Around The World.

Sharing "The Sleeping Stone," my favourite sculpture in our town square,  park fences and railings, also in town, for Fences Around The World.

When photo is taken one way, it looks dark like this.

From the other side, it looks this pale grey colour.

Entrance to park.

Little Bandstand with railings.

Houses in the main street.

Detail of railings, and you can also see the pretty blue tiles, that are so traditionally Portuguese,

As stones go, that is one of the best around.

I find the Sleeping Stone especially interesting, Sonjia, but all the pictures evoke a very pleasant reaction. If only that stone could tell its stories what could it reveal? It's good to see all that greenery and fine weather as I look out my window at a snowy backyard. January is coming to a close, however, so spring is not so far away.

Hi Sonjia,
Interesting pictures. I like the fence pictures. In my very young days they were barriers which I was forbidden to cross and that thought still lingers in my mind. That is probably the reason I like to walk in the great outdoors. Take care, Mike.

Nice fences from your town and I really liked the simple yet moving stone sculpture! And loved the windows and balconies of the row houses and everything looks neat out there.

Very nice to see some pics of your town. I hope you will be able to show some more, such as views of the town square. With your "eye" I bet even the shopping centre would look interesting and they would certainly form a historical record which would prove valuable in years to come.
