The Flycatcher in October

Hello everyone, I have not been able to get out and about since November last year, and it's been quite a while since I have posted anything, namely because of rheumatism, and I also knew that I couldn't post or visit with any regularity. So sorry for not letting you know sooner, and many thanks to those of you who sent kind comments. I took these Flycatcher shots in October last year, but haven't used my camera since. I hope you enjoy! I missed you!

Hi Sonjia,
Good to hear from you again. I hope that you are able to get out and about when the weather warms up.
I had an encounter with a flycatcher last October, too. It was taking far too much interest in the Red Admirals on my Buddleia. Luckily when it swooped it caught a bee and not a butterfly!

I do hope that someday, sooner than later, you'll feel much better and be able to enjoy those around you....life is too short.

You've been missed!!!

Of course, love the bird photos, but more importantly you're feeling up to blogging.

I remember my first (and only) Collared Flycatcher, in Germany about 20 years ago!

I think this might be a female Pied Flycatcher though...........

Hope your condition improves...........

Glad to have you back even though you have had to use historic shots because of your sciatica. Hopefully the warmer weather will alleviate your condition. Perhaps you need to get down to the Algarve!

Lovely photos, I do love the flycatchers. We are lucky enough to have spotted flycatchers nest in the eaves of our home.
