If I'm lucky I see a thrush. |
One of the many toadstools I encounter on my walks. |
Maple tree leaves, also on our driveway. |
This looks like the Judas Ear |
Hawthorn berries casscading over the garage. |
A robin |
A brown squirrel for a change,as I usually favour the really red looking ones. |
and a red squirrel, this time with no tufts on the ears. |

Gorgeous images all of them! I love the little robin. Take care!
really beautiful - well, except for that weird judas ear. :)
You have captured some of the beautiful mushrooms.
I love them.
Hello. Yes you are correct. The Fieldfare Turdus pilaris is closely related to the Redwing Turdus ilaicus. Both are also related to your Song Thrush Turdus philomelus.
I enjoyed your pictures from the forest especially those very red toadstools. I rarely see any red ones nowadays.
Your post screams fall. Excellent mushroom hunt.
Gorgeous post. And I have used sweet gum balls for Christmas decorations - sometimes sprayed gold. I used them on a little tree, and also on wreaths made of nuts, cotton boll backs, pine cones, including the pine cone flowers made by sawing them into rounds and sweet gum balls - all hot gluded to the wreath back.
I leave using nature's bountiful beauty to decorate my house.
Lovely autumn pictures. We have been having a particularly good autumn here with amazing colours. I think that lack of frosts so far has meant the leaves have remained on the trees for longer than normal. Normally, I find this time of year a little sad, but I am enjoying this autumn!
Awesome pics.. Autumn is wonderful.. Cheers..

These are just simply wonderful....I love that Christmas tree look, too. and that is what I often think when I see trees similar to that one.
Your images are stunning! That tree is amazing. And I love the Hawthorne too. And the fungi, poison or not! ( I always expect to see elves or brownies under those red polka dot toadstools!).

My goodness....so all amazing!!!
Wow.
The poisonous toadstool is quite colorful...something I've never seen but only in photos.
The squirrel is more colorful also...compared to South Texas.
Your birds are amazing, the autumn foliage, brilliant. And the orange berries on the bush, is that a pyracantha? Looks to be so.
Wonderful images.

Hello!:) I live in the north of Portugal. With the exception of the seaside photos, all the nature photos on my blog are taken either in my garden or on our property. So pleased you liked these.:)
All these brilliant autumn hues.
The big tree and the squirrels.
The seed pods (photo 2) I find really great to see.
