Down at the pond.

Down at the pond, I photographed this friendly frog, who came to say hello by swimming up

close to me, and then circled around and swam in the opposite direction. I wonder if he recognized

me as the lady with the camera, who doesn't mean any harm, and just likes to take photos!

Byeee froggie, thank you for being so friendly

On another day his cousins were equally obliging, and didn't move as I clicked away...

and I dare say enjoying the cleaner water after the rain we had last week.

Fully grown this tiny critter will eventually be a  recognizable newt.

Seen overhead at the pond a buzzard was hovering,

Another poor shot of a buzzard, but I have included it to also share the terrain with you.

To finish my post yet another buzzard, ..I will open a bottle of champagne and celebrate when I get a decent shot of these wonderful birds! That reminds me, time for a gin and tonic!:)) See you!

What a gorgeous pond! And that is a beautiful frog! Loved seeing the newt "tadpole"...how on earth did you know what he was? I would have assumed another frog! Great shots of the buzzard too. Wonderful post.

If you continue to take its pictures, it will soon turn into a modern Prince.

You did a great job with the frog pictures, the clarity of the pictures, green on green like that. Now I'm left wondering how you managed to be on the same eye level as a flying Buzzard? perhaps you live on a hillside?

Those images of the newts...wow!! I am totally impressed. In fact all your photos today, from the frogs/newts/hill country/buzzards....perfect outing for us all.

Thank you for sharing at I'd Rather B Birdin'!!

The frog is so cute to pose for you, he looks like he is floating on air. The slopes are wonderful, so wild and unspoiled for the birds to soar over.

Great shots of the frog swimming. It seems to me we hardly ever see them doing this. They are always on land when they are photographed.
