I love flycatchers. They are such a confusing species over here in the US at times because many of them look the same. This guy is rather distinct. Beautiful bird!
Very nice portraits. I have no pictures of the Pied Flycatcher because they are mostly in dark woodland where they are tremendously active and difficult to follow. I must try harder.
Stuart Price. Hi Stuart!:) I took these shots through the window of my studio on the farm. I'm lucky because these and other forest birds perch on an old plum tree just outside the window.

Lovely pictures Sonjia. I have always thought of the Flycatcher as being a grey bird, but I didn't realise that it is so beautifully marked.
