The Cormorants have arrived! Hubby and I made straight for the rocks where we are used to seeing them, and sure enough there were quite a few on the top of the rocks, and at the base near the water.

So funny, you also show cormorants in your post. I have them too. Great series, Sonjia. The cormorants photographed on the rock are gorgeous. So subtle. Well done. Greetings from the grey and rainy Netherlands, Joke

Really nice close-ups. Here in the UK I can't get close to a Cormorant. They are classed as a pest species due to their habit of visiting fisheries and can be legally shot. Hence they become very wary of close approach.

Dearest Sonija; I was happy to see you posted Cormorant as I can see them in my city's park (we have big lake there) if I'm lucky p:-)
Your photographs of them are so gorgeous, showing us proud looking handsome Cormorant(^_^)v

So sorry for my recent absence, wishing you'll have a wonderful coming weekend.

Incredible look at the beautiful cormorants! I loved getting a close up view of the feathers. Beautiful! And that ROCK...so dramatic! The stuff of legend and fable!

Oh, I wanted to tell you--those photos of Lonesome George were from when we lived in Texas. I had each knee scoped over two years (2002 & 2003)we were there, and thankfully have not had to have anything done since! But it was sweet of you to say you hoped I was healing well.
