Your photos are breathtaking!
What a peaceful place to go fishing.

Thanks for your comment, I am better each day. Day one and two the worst. Pain meds help, need less and less.

Fisherman have such patience, I wonder if they meditate as they sit, waiting.

It is a quiet place, where my husband and I walk our little Teckle.
Thankyou Janie for your lovely comment.

My partner is a hunter, hunting is scarce in Portugal. I go with him many times, it's great for exercise and enjoy nature. He was a fisherman but a few years ago that left.

If I had taken up amature photography sooner then I might have gone with my husband when he
used to hunt. Killing for sport is not my cup of tea though.

It could be the Seine,or the Thames,or even, possibly, the Douro as seen by Courbet or Constable - and not a hunter in sight, thank God.

This river is called Rio Ave,and as it happens
does remind me of a painting done by one of the
old masters.Thankyou for your visit.

What a lovely composition and setting. Is this another view outside your gate? The trees are wonderful.

Thank you Carol. It's not far from where we live, just outside our property, a lovely place to go for a walk along the river.

As I have said before, the angler could be in a Courbet or a Corot.
The pastoral is a definite Samuel Palmer, and the fish are straight out of a Picasso or Braque theme.
So...ooo, why not a Goncalves cubist translation?
