I've had them in my tiny garden. They must have emigrated to a warmer clime! LEN
you know, if they weren't so 'common' in some areas, they'd be considered 'exotic'. :)

ClaudiaThank you Claudia.:)
I do not understand much but it seems to me "pombos correios" that are the result of a cross between British and Belgian pigeons. Excellent photo. kisses
Hola :) Realmente son unas palomas hermosas. ¡Felicidades por tan bella imagen! Sonia.
Brown EyesOh thank you! It's kind of you to let me know what you think they are, and you are probably right Brown Eyes.Kisses:)
Sonia AguiarHola: Thank you Sonia. These birds get a lot of criticism, and are not the best loved birds, so it's nice that they can be seen and appreciated for their beauty.Sonjia.
An obese enemy of the farmer transformed by iridescence.Nature performs some fabulous miracles.
IanWe sometimes see Wood Pigeons, and Collared Doves on the farm, but thats all. This sighting was unusualbut a fabulous sight.I love those iridescent feathers, and couldn't agree with you more.x
They are so pretty - they look very much like some of our Feral Pigeons which themselves are derived from Rock Doves. Many people wouldn't give them a second look but you have the ability to see and observe these things with 'fresh eyes'.
They have pretty colours. Good shot
Great shot of the beautiful pigeons!Love to photograph them too.Have a great day.Mette
Hi!Whatever variety they may be, they definitely deserve having their picture taken..Vitor
The feathers do look very pretty~
JerryThey could well be a combo of the two.I also like the wide black wingbars that are similar in both the Rock Dove and the Feral Pigeon. As a colourist, I am drawn to colour like a magnet, which must betrue of most artists!! I couldn't resist these fabulous hues of pinkand blue.Warmest Regards.
Friend of HKYes indeed! A nice combination ofcolour.
