Another stunning collection of shots. Is that a red squirrel? Do you see many? They only inhabit small areas of the UK, having been taken over by the grey so efforts are being made to redress the balance. How, I don't know, but the grey is treated by many folk as vermin. I think the grey is not a native species of this country.

gorgeous images of the Jay. They are fairly common where I live but almost impossible to get close to.

This is a very fine series of images, clear and crisp. I find the shots of the Eurasian Jays especially appealing. This is not an easy bird to photograph in my experience yet your pictures show every little detail. I am impressed with your makeshift feeder and it looks quite charming and rustic. I could make such a device here but anything not securely closed off to the urban squirrels doesn't last long, nor does the food it contains. Enjoy what's left of the weekend.

Very nice work Sonjia. Do you know, jays are very, very shy around here. Even if one came into the gardfen it would be off like a shot as soon as it saw any movement. They are seen as a pest species in Britain, equal to Carrion Crows. Of course they do a valuable job by burying acorns, even more valuable in your part of the world I imagine.

What pretty birds. Loved the blue on the Jay's feathers and the Greenfinch was really cute.
