Saw three different species of butterfly yesterday but none would sit still for a portrait. I'm impressed with your great images of insects, hard to do.

It was exciting to spot these two
butterflies swirling around each other, and very fortunate that they
sunbathed with open wings.

You were here first again, your just
amazing.Thankyou:)

Thankyou for your lovely comment,
but I find that some butterflies are more obliging than others,-
depends on the species.I also stalk
them and do a lot of waiting around,it goes with the territory:)

Finding two butterflies flying
closely together was lucky.I must have followed them for what seemed ages before I managed to frame them
in the same shot, and even then, as
you probably observed,only just
managed it.So it was really the combination of a little luck and a
little patience.:)XXX

A thing of beauty is a joy forever:
Its loveliness increases,it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us,and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

The beauty of nature takes my breath away, and I marvel as each creature has it's place on our
planet, and how we are all connected
and need each other to survive. It's
just miraculous!!

Thank you for your poem, one of my
favourite's.Enjoy The Times!!

So beautiful but then all your butterflies are and so are your photos. Oh, to have all that lovely sunshine. After a prolonged drought we have rain, rain and more rain! Today it is still raining and the wind is so high it has brought my ancient Lilac tree down!

Breathtaking said...

ShySongbird
Thank you so much. We have also been getting some rain and it's turned quite chilly. The butterflies are hiding and there is not a lot going on in the garden. This morning I managed to take a decent photo of a squirrel,
but that is all.
Such a shame that your Lilac tree was felled by the wind, their blooms are so lovely.Perhaps all is not lost,I hope not.
