Juvenile Sqirrels and Jays

I have been seeing quite a number of juvenile squirrels in the garden.

It was surpriseing to see such a tiny squirrel. It is not the same as the one in the above photo.

A mature Jay

All these pictures were a little dark, so I
had to lighten them, especially this one, as the sqirrels head was in the shade.

A cute encounter of two juvies, seen and captured through our pateo doors. This squirrel was a different colour.

Playing  Catch me if you can!

A juvenile looking a little perplexed perhaps!

This box measures 10 x 10 cent, yet this cuttie pie fit comfortably inside

The moment she saw me! Hello Baby!:)

Hi Sonjia, What beautiful pictures. The young squirrel is gorgeous. Thank you for your message on my blog. Sadly I lost my father last month. He has left his gorgeous house to me and my wife, which is amazing. We have been spending a lot of weekends there clearing out his lifetime's possessions which have followed him around the world. It is quite a task, and I feel terrible throwing out so much of his stuff. He was a biologist and had thousands of scientific papers, along with hundreds of books. He was never particularly good at dealing with paperwork, but in his later years was rather overwhelmed by it. I can't believe how much he had, and this was despite me regularly helping him to sort it out. His house is set in a beautiful woodland next to a large pond. We won't be able to move there for a couple of years until the kids have left school, but there is a lot of potential to further improve the are to enhance it for wildlife. A time of very mixed emotions.

I like the pretty auburn color of the squirrels, and their white necks. They look very healthy and perky!

Cute squirrels and jays. Yes, they are so cute but I'm having some issues with the squirrels and my feeders. I've got to get the issue resolved.

Oh Breathtaking! That is the most brown squirrel I have ever seen and it is beautiful. And how did you take those shots? Don't squirrel move fast? And those bird feeders, they look so at home for the bird ;) Glad to see Jay and the squirrel are friendly to each other. Have a beautiful day!
