Fetching Fences

These are pictures taken in a tiny park in the centre of town. It is so small that it only has a bandstand, a teahouse, and a pond, but it's known as The Park to everyone who live here. It has pleasant views and plenty of trees for shade in summer, but you can walk across it in seconds. It's more a resting place, where one can chew the rag with friends, having a coffee, or light lunch, and on summer evenings the teahouse is full of people in convivial company just enjoying the cool breeze coming from the river nearby.

You can just see the church to the right of the last photo. Next week I'll show you better captures of the church and river, and more fences of course.

Wow these are neat looking fencing. I read your bio with interest. I am a painter and yes it is hard on the back for me too, but I still persist with it.

Your local park may be very small but it looks very inviting. And "select".

It may be small but it packs a big punch of peacefulness and beauty. Loving the log fencing.

Interesting fences. Are they made of concrete? I have seen something similar somewhere, but I can't think where!

Small it may be - beautiful it definitely is. And your photos of it are superb. You make it seem such a warm and homely place. Delightful.

Thanks for brightening my day.
Have a great weekend.

Hello Nick!:) I think you're right about it being in concrete. It would look nicer had it been in wood, (I love things made out of wood) but it wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.
