The Riding School

The Riding School is not far from where we live, just a twenty five minute drive. It is here where our grandchildren learnt to ride, and we are still in the habit of going to watch the competitions, and the horses being trained. The Club House serves light snacks and wonderful coffee, and in the summer months it's lovely to sit outside with cool refreshments and watch the horses going through their paces. The head trainer is a friend of ours, and an excellent sportsman. He has competed in horse trials in England with Princess Ann, who as you probably know is an accomplished rider, and sportswoman.

There are several bridle-paths for the seasoned riders.

Beautiful photos. It looks like a fantastic place for both horses and riders.

I want to thank you so much for all your kind comments on my posts. Please know that you need not feel obligated to view all the videos. See, I post a few, as this gives people a choice of which one they would like to see, some look at just one, some more, but this is why I also put the quotations, as there is something for everyone.

I love your posts and photos, and I really appreciate your sharing them. :)

It must be fantastic to ride a horse in your lovely climate. I have done that when I was young, but wasn't really a fan. I never could find the brake (LOL). Great series, Sonjia. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I think the quality of our drinking water is different from yours. I have tried boiled water but frozen it still was opaque. I got the best results with demineralized water. Once I had crystal clear ice, but that was boring. A few bubbles are nicer. Thanks again and have a great weekend. Greetings from your Dutch friend, Joke

How wonderful to have this place so close to your home! What an excellent activity for your children to learn! You are making me think I should look into something here in Tucson for the grandson & great-nephew! :-) Loved your wonderful photos!

Looks like a wonderful place to learn to ride. I'm still scared of horses after my last riding lesson. But I think they are beautiful animals.
